My sightseeing experience during the Mexico City trip ended with Teotihuacán destination. Located just an hour outside the city, Teotihuacán was home to the largest pre-Aztec civilization in its time.

Excellent choice for a day trip, Teotihuacán is no ordinary place. This magnificent sight is full of rich history and most commonly known for its two massive pyramids, Pirámide del Sol (Pyramid of the Sun) and Pirámide de la Luna (Pyramid of the Moon). Pyramid of the Sun is the largest pyramid at Teotihuacán and the third largest pyramid in the world. Pyramid of the Moon is the second largest pyramid on site.

It is a lot of fun since you can climb both pyramids. Make sure to get there as early as possible to beat the heat and the crowds. Also make sure to take water, a hat and some sunscreen. It was an amazing experience and an adventure.
