Since I live in San Diego, it feels like I will never run out of things to do. Every weekend, there are a ton of events in every part of the city. Options are endless here. I’ve been wanting to do a cute picnic on the lawn for so long but never really got around to it. I lived in Texas for many years and the weather just didn’t permit me to do anything outdoors for too long.

Gosh, before I begin, this picnic basket preparation is a whole other thing on it’s own. Prior to putting everything together, I checked Pinterest for picnic basket ideas and there were literally hundreds of pins and boards dedicated to that. Instead of getting a clear idea of what I want, I got even more confused. There were so many cool ideas that I couldn’t settle for just one-time picnic outing.

Our first picnic spot was Kate Sessions Park. It is a picturesque park located in Pacific Beach on the hill with a panoramic view of downtown, Mission Bay, the Coronado bridge as well as the beach. The weather was warm and nice, I thought a refreshing lemonade would quench my thirst. And of course there is no picnic without some gourmet sandwiches and fruits.
