My mom spent her toddler years in Russia and my dad attended a university in Russia so it’s no surprise that my brother and I grew up eating all kinds of Russian food. Borscht is one of my mom’s specialty food and I loved eating it when I was growing up. Nowadays, my baby gets to eat my homemade borscht.
My little one loves soups. Chicken noodle soup, vegetable soup, beef stew, any type of soup he will want to keep eating so I do make borsht often. It is one of those dishes that I keep getting better at making as I get more experience.
I love having the combination of Khuushuur (A traditional Mongolian dish) and borscht but I haven’t quite learned how to make Khuushuur. So, for now, bread with butter will suffice.
