Masculine re-boot

Once again, I would like to show my love for a skirt over dress outfit, just as I did in my previous post. I selected this outfit because it looks dressy yet masculine, which is the look I was going for. Oversized menswear inspired blazer in addition to these boots give this look a rugged vibe.
One of my favorite stores to visit in Dallas is Zara. The best time to shop there, of course, is during their 50-70% off sale. In this “fast food” retail world, full-price items you see, will most likely go on sale immediately after the next collection is introduced. The original price for these boots was $150 but I got them for only $30. I bought two other boots similar to these ones, only spending under $100 for both.

I want to shine a light on a style expression that has no borders and I hope it makes your day brighter.

Lovely Lace

Lately there has been an outfit combination that I find myself particularly drawn to, which is wearing skirt over a dress. It works especially well when the dress has a cute detail and is longer than the skirt. For example, this lingerie inspired silky dress has a lace trim end which makes it look as if it is one with the skirt. Since I have long legs, most cute skirts I see end up too short on me. This was my solution, I can wear a skirt I like and yet not reveal much by wearing a dress under it.
When it comes to unique and amazing deals, I would like to mention Poshmark, an online fashion website. You can sell your own clothes or buy items from closets all over the world. I had personally found some rare items that can no longer be found in stores or online. This forest green suede handbag by Tory Burch was one of my greatest finds. I plan to sell a few of my things in the near future so stay on the lookout and check my social media for updates.

All about that fur

In one of my previous posts, I mentioned getting a couple of winter coats from a vintage store in Deep Ellum. Dallas’ polar opposite weather gave me the chance to bring out one of them. I noticed this beautiful coat on a mannequin the moment I walked in. It caught my eye and I just knew that it was meant for me. It fit as if it was tailored for me. In addition to the classic camel coat, a fur coat is an ultimate must have. Although I don’t like to wear fur, this wool fur coat became my best friend on those really cold winter days.

In the mood for nude

Dallas weather has been as unpredictable as ever. One day you need layers of clothing and the next, you are walking out in sandals. A couple of rainy, yet pleasant, days passed through and invited me to wear this raincoat. For brunch, I made my way to Bird Cafe in downtown Fort Worth. I have a bright memory of taking my mother here 3 years ago when she visited me after many years.
Finding those “perfect nude” pumps posed a difficulty for me for quite some time now. I love the fact that they aren’t nude all over, and have a cute snake skin detail. But wait, not only they are cute but are also very comfortable. I could spend hours walking in these pretty nudes.
I chose to combine this with a navy leather bag and a matching skirt. The skirt is a little big on me and so I used a belt to make it fit. This leather bag became my ultimate go to bag, thanks to its’ versatility. I can wear it as a messenger bag if I want casual, or as a baguette if I’m going for a dressier look.

Adorable fluffy little puppy, running behind me, also seemed to be in a hurry to get to Bird Cafe.
